Tabitha L. Atwell

Tabitha’s practice is focused on helping individuals through the probate process, estate and tax planning, asset protection, wealth preservation planning, trust administration, and business planning. She has specialized in these areas for 19 years.


Tabitha is also the Elder Law Practice Leader and assists individuals and families with their concerns regarding the costs for nursing home care and the desire to protect individuals with disabilities.


Tabitha earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2002. Prior to joining Affinity in 2008, she was an associate at a small firm where she assisted clients with their Estate Planning needs.


Tabitha is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.


Tabitha is married to Scot and takes great care of their dogs, Belle and Squeaks, both Shiba Inus.


In her spare time, Tabitha enjoys Zumba and watching the St. Louis Blues.

Professional & Community Involvement


Tabitha is a member of the Missouri Bar Probate and Trust Committee, the Missouri Bar Elder Law Committee, the Missouri Bar Taxation Committee, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc.


Tabitha is a member of the Society for Financial Service Professionals and recently served as President of the St. Louis Chapter.


She is on the Board of Directors of NAIFA – St. Louis, a Committee Member of Wealth Counsel, a nationwide collaboration of trusts and estates attorneys and other legal, tax and business professionals, and Elder Counsel. Tabitha serves as Chair of the Planning Committee of the Greater St. Louis Financial Symposium.


Tabitha is also a Guest Lecturer at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Children’s Hospital Legacy Advisor.
