Tal’s practice is focused on distressed business workouts and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filings; creditor and creditors committee representations; distressed asset acquisitions and business litigation.

 

Tal’s early career was comprised largely of high profile complex corporate reorganizations and Chapter 11 bankruptcies and loan recovery work for banks. Tal also represented several businesses in substantial sales of assets under relevant provisions of the Bankruptcy Code and worked on the formulation and drafting of complex reorganization plans for those companies.

 

Tal has represented numerous companies in non-bankruptcy reorganizations and financial restructuring, and, as companies and individuals deal with the impact of COVID-19 on their businesses, he has counseled Affinity’s corporate clients regarding their business interruptions and those of their suppliers.

 

Tal graduated from Princeton University in 1982 with a politics degree and from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1985.

 

Tal is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.

 

In his free time Tal mountain bikes, plays ice hockey and tennis, and participates in triathlons.
